ECHO COYOTE CHEYENE

Practicing her ground manners with Lisa                         As a Yearling                                             As a Weanling

Coyote Cheyene is a tall mare, 16 plus hands with a good size head I might add.  No, she probably won't win a blue ribbon in halter, but she is a blue ribbon mare to me.  No little pin head here.  No pencil thin neck or legs.  She is built to last!  She is double bred Solar Flair Eclat who was 17 heads.  Frank Scripter bred.  Notice her color change from when she was a foal to a more adult horse.  Cheyene just floats across the pasture and has the most incredible flat footed walk, and we can't wait to ride her.  We believe she will be a strong shuffler. But her training has not progressed far enough at this point to know for sure.  Will let you know.  Her '07 foal, Neemeepoos Cheyene Thunder, is seen below.

Coyote Cheyene, developed a twisted intenstine just after birthing Cheyene Thunder, and took her to the vet hospital where we were presented with a decision to possibly put her down as the surgery could run as high as $5,000 with a 25% chance of not surviving.  We had the vet keep her alive as long as possible so the foal could get as much cholesterum for a good start.  Miracle of miracles!  The 3rd day, her condition corrected itself, to the amazement of the vet, who said that had never happened before.  We are now reluctant to breed Cheyene as we don't want to run the risk of losing her, but at the same time, her foals have been outstanding shufflers.  We'll let you know what we decide.
